" I love photography because you can capture a moment in life forever. Not only that, but you can create an emotion or thought in someone through a single fraction of a second. A single image can create a whole story, but its up to the interpretation of the viewer. That story is partially up to their own imagination. That's the beautiful collaboration between photographer and viewer that really makes the image come to life." -Cody

Cody started his photography journey when he was 18 years old. He started with a 'point and shoot' camera and took it with him everywhere he went. It wasn't until he was 20 years old that he started getting creative with it. He was partially obsessed with the macro setting on the camera and enjoyed creating close up images of insects and the faces of watches, "Anything really. That's when I adopted the name "Macro Sheridan". One year I decided to use my tax return and all my savings to purchase my first DSLR camera. I purchased it knowing that it was a financial risk and I used the amount that I put towards it to help motivate and remind me that I better do something with this. So when I first started using the camera I panicked, of course. I had no idea what I was doing and almost regretted buying it with no knowledge of how to use it. So I just shot around and played with it. It was a self-taught process. Yeah, I watched some Youtube videos and later worked with some photographers to help me with the setting on the camera and what they meant. When I purchased the camera I had no idea I was going to be a photographer, I had no idea I would be doing the things I'm doing now. I didn't realize it would take me this far and I would enjoy it so much. You could have asked me a few years ago what I would see myself doing and I would have never guessed a photographer. It wasn't a possibility, it wasn't a reality that I would be an artist. It was a hidden talent that, through dedication and persistence , I have grown to what I am today." -Cody
